Mr. Johnston is an associate with the firm. His practice consists of defending health care providers against medical malpractice lawsuits, general civil litigation, including breach of contract disputes, and the defense of workers’ compensation claims. Mr. Johnston has litigated cases in Maryland Circuit Court and District Court, and the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. Before entering private practice, Mr. Johnston served as law clerk to the Honorable James R. Eyler of the Maryland Court of Special Appeals from 2007–2008.

Mr. Johnston is a graduate of Franklin & Marshall College (B.A. 2002) and the University of Baltimore School of Law (J.D. 2007; cum laude). During law school, Mr. Johnston served as Editor in Chief of the law review. Mr. Johnston is admitted to practice law in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. He is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Baltimore City Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.

In addition to his law practice, Mr. Johnston serves on the Board of Advocates for Children and Youth, a Maryland non-profit organization.
